Polls and sovereignty messaging
Recent polls show a tight race: Quaest put Lula at 37% to Flávio's 33%; AtlasIntel at 46% to 43%; and Datafolha at 40% to 36%, according to Al Jazeera. Lula has made defending Brazilian sovereignty a central theme after U.S. tariffs and related disputes, warning Washington not to meddle in the vote.
Brazilians will also choose governors, federal and state legislators and some senators as Latin America's largest democracy decides its next chapter.
